4th provincial Week for Young Workers gets animated

 A ceremony to launch the 4th provincial Week for Young Workers was organized in the Binh Duong new city on April 30. Following this launching ceremony, there were many significant programs for young workers. They included free healthcare programs, variety shows, a program of “Lightening up the dreams of young workers”, “joyful market days”…

 

Especially, provincial Week for Young Workers this year took place when the whole province is moving towards the elections of the 13th NA and the People’s Councils at all levels on May 22 ahead. Hence, many propaganda activities about these elections were also organized during the week.

Based on their real situations, localities organized many different programs during the week. TDM town’s Youth Union organized contests on labor laws, election laws, cultural-sports activities…for young workers. Meanwhile, Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union got animated with a festive day for young workers, a program on legal consultancy, sports and culinary contests, a program to give financial support to poor alien workers…

 

One of this event’s new features was the program named “Film week for the youth” with many films featuring ideological education and revolutionary tradition such as “Dung dot” (Don’t burn), “Mien Nam trong trai tim toi” (Vietnam’s south in my heart), “Dai tuong Vo Nguyen Giap-mot the ky, mot doi nguoi” (General Vo Nguyen Giap-one Century, one Human Life)…Young workers also had the chance to participate in talk shows to exchange their feelings about films watched.

 

After three year-implementation, the organizing board of the week organized 10 “joyful market days” with the participation of more than 60,000 young workers; provided free medical check-ups and medicine for 2,250 young workers with a total expense of VND180mln.

 

Provincial Support Fund for Poor Alien Workers has so far donated more than VND1bln for the local lodging sub-unions for organizing Tet celebrations for young workers; supported nearly VND100mln for young workers…The 4th provincial Week for Young Workers also considered and provided 48 needy workers with VND1mln for each.

 

Huynh Van Nhi, chairman of provincial People’s Committee said that this annual event has made many substantial activities for young workers. Hence, provincial leaders have always created favorable conditions for organizing this annual event, contributing to taking care of the lives of young workers…
