Binh An Veterans’ Society takes lead in the “following Uncle Ho’s teaching” campaign

After four-year implementation of the “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” campaign, Di An district has discovered a lot of exemplary role models in realizing the campaign. These exemplary role models need to be praised and replicated…Binh An communal Veterans’ Society is one of such exemplary role models.

Over the past four years, Binh An communal Veterans’ Society focused on disseminating the meaning and goal of the campaign to its officials and members; extending contents regarding Uncle Ho’s ideology and exemplary morals among them; organizing activities learning about his life and revolutionary career; launching a writing contest on exemplary role models following Uncle Ho’s teaching…These have contributed to making drastic change in awareness and action of each official and member of the local society.

As a result, there have appeared many bright examples studying and following Uncle Ho’s teaching via concrete actions. For example, Hua Kim Hoan, member of the local Veterans’ Society in Noi Hoa 1 hamlet offered a whole-hearted help to his comrade when the comrade’s relative passed away. Other member Bui Xuan Tu voluntarily contributes more than VND10mln to the local Fund for the Poor every year. Meanwhile, member Vu Nam Hong mobilized his relatives to raise funds to help needy people…

For the campaign getting in-depth development, the local Veterans’ Society and its affiliates also set up many substantial models, including the affiliate of Noi Hoa 1 hamlet’s models of saving money in “piggy banks”, raising money for saving book to offer help to needy members…

The four-year implementation of the “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” campaign has made profound impact on all officials and members of Binh An communal Veterans’ Society. Particularly, members of the local Veterans’ Society actively got involved in social and charity activities for the sake of public welfare, especially highlighted the tradition of “mutual assistance and affection” in the community.
