With the spirit of voluntary dedication to community health, the Young MD Association of the province has been implementing various meaningful activities to contribute to the improvement of healthcare and quality of life for the people, especially those in difficult circumstances.

Spring brought to the patients
In the early days of the new year, at the Community Cultural and Educational Center in Minh Tan commune, Dau Tieng district, the Young Doctors Club of Dau Tieng district and the Minh Tan Youth Union organized a spring volunteer activity, providing health check-ups, dispensing medication, and giving gifts to the elderly and households in difficult circumstances. At the event, 100 elderly people, residents in difficult circumstances of Minh Tan commune were provided with free medical examination, diagnosis, and treatment. In addition, they also received a gift including essential items for daily living.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu, a citizen with a difficult circumstance in the commune, expressed: "The elderly, today suffering from illness are being examined and treated by local doctors free of charge, which I am overjoyed beyond words and high hope for more programs like this to help people in difficult circumstances like me reduce some of the difficulties and live happily and healthily."
During the Lunar New Year, the Young MD Association of the province brought the warmth of spring to people in difficult circumstances in Long Tan commune, Phu Rieng district, Binh Phuoc province. Here, the young doctors conducted medical examinations and treatments for 200 ethnic minority people in difficult circumstances; at the same time, they presented gifts to the locals with a total value of about 100 million VND. This is one of the meaningful activities of the Provincial Young Doctors Association to welcome the new year and celebrate the success of the 3rd provincial Young MD Association Congress of Binh Duong province in 2023-2028.
Youthful volunteerism
Doctor of Specialty 2 Huynh Minh Chin, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, Chairman of the Provincial Young MD Association, stated: “The Provincial Young Doctors Association currently has 15 clubs under the provincial General Hospital, Department of Health, clinics, hospitals in the province, and clubs under districts, towns, and cities. The clubs have provided opportunities for the medical team, doctors, intellectuals to enhance knowledge, profession, ethics, and participate in social activities, scientific researches. The clubs still create a vibrant emulation movement among young provincial doctors; promote the pioneering role of volunteerism for community health in participating in the implementation of union work and youth movements, as well as tasks of socio-economic development.”
It can be said that, in recent times, the Young MD Association has affirmed the pioneering role of youth, ready to go to remote and difficult areas to support the people. The Young MD Clubs in Dau Tieng, Bau Bang, Bac Tan Uyen districts, and the provincial General Hospital have organized frontline volunteer teams in recent years, and implemented guiding patients to visit for examination to shorten waiting time for examination and treatment; organize care teams for the elderly, people in difficult circumstances, and those undergoing treatment.
In addition, the Young MD Association and Young MD Clubs in various localities within the province have organized many practical activities. Especially the program "Young Doctors' Day following President Ho Chi Minh’s words, volunteering for community health" held annually, has conducted training on basic first aid skills, counseling on disease prevention methods for elementary school teachers, and preschool teachers in the province. Prominent activities include "Journey for the health of the elderly", Project "Gratitude to the heroic Vietnamese mother", Project "Charity journey for community health"; organizing eye surgeries, free intraocular lens replacement for the elderly; visiting, giving gifts to cancer patients undergoing treatment at the Provincial General Hospital and district hospitals in the province; visiting and giving gifts to families of policy beneficiaries with difficult circumstances in the province. The Association collaborated with the 4th Military Corps. Hospital to carry out the annual "The Army joins hands for community health" campaign in localities within the province. The Association has also organized activities aimed at caring for children's health such as "Handwashing Day with soap for children".
On the other hand, the association also organizes seminars, exchanges experiences in organizing volunteer activities for community health, various aspects of work to improve skills, and utilize social resources to enhance the effectiveness of caring for people's health.
