With determination following Uncle Ho’s teaching in association with thrift practice, provincial Youth Union has launched the movement of thrift practice and wastefulness prevention. Many good models have also been discovered from the movement.

Do Ngoc Huy, vice-secretary of provincial Youth Union said that with the active and creative spirit, Binh Duong’s young people have been very ardent to take part in thrift practice and wastefulness prevention in association with following Uncle Ho’s teaching.

Accordingly, the local Youth Unions will focus on three main fields relating to the management and use of State budget, public assets; working days, hours and the movement of initiatives on thrift practice and wastefulness.

Good models discovered

Many good models have been discovered from the movement of thrift practice and wastefulness prevention.

The Youth Union of Phuoc Hoa Rubber Joint Stock Company has taken fruits from the model of “Following Uncle Ho’s teaching, journey after Uncle Ho’s footsteps” under the movement.

100% of youngsters herein now have high workmanship skills, helping the company gain hundreds of millions of dong in profit from saving in terms of water, power, materials…

Apartedly, the movement of thrift practice and wastefulness prevention has contributed to encouraging youngsters herein to develop home based business with the models on animal husbandry and cultivation.

Some sci-tech initiatives have also been applied in production, helping the company save billions of dong.

Or, the model of “Saving bamboo culinder” launched by Thuan An town’s Youth Union is very practical, offering more help to needy people and street children. The town’s Youth Union has also got involved in many other significant activities to help poor children. 

The local Youth Unions have urgently implemented the movement in association with the tasks of each unit. For example, provincial Agencies Bloc’s Youth Union has actively reformed administrative procedures; realized the emulation movements of “smiles at workplace”, “golden working hours”; provided free medical check-ups and medicine for the elderly and children…

Under the movement of thrift practice and wastefulness prevention, Binh Duong’s young people have created a lot of effective models and initiatives, greatly contributing to realizing the local tasks on socio-economic development.
