On the afternoon of September 27, Binh Duong Water - Environment Corporation (Biwase) held a ceremony to celebrate the 45th anniversary of its establishment and launch the new brand of Biwase.
The event was attended by former Politburo member and former State President Nguyen Minh Triet; Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; members of provincial Party Standing Committee; former central leaders and provincial leaders over periods.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Van Thien, CEO of Biwase said that after more than 30 years of innovation and development, Biwase has persevered in surmounting difficulties for the goal of building up a strong unit to be able to make contributions to the overall development of Binh Duong province. To date, Biwase has increased its water supply capacity to 760,000 cubic meters per day and night. In 2022, Biwase's total revenue reached more than VND 3.9 trillion. Its capitalization has so far amounted to more than VND 9.43 trillion.
Currently, Biwase is home to 4 wastewater plants with a capacity of nearly 90,000 cubic meters per day and night with completely separate collection systems. Every day, its waste treatment branches receive and process about 2,500 tons of household waste. All waste is completely processed, recycled for compost fertilizer, bricks...or burned electricity. Currently, all waste treatment and recycling technologies are being continuously perfected by Biwase to join hands with the province in achieving the goal of sustainable development associated with environmental protection.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mai Hung Dung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice- Chairman of provincial People's Committee expressed his belief that in the coming time, Biwase will further achieve more success, especially in accompanying the province in waste treatment, environmental protection, ensuring clean water supply to serve people and enterprises...
