Central provinces receive gifts from Truong Sa

The Navy High Command on April 30 handed over the central provinces of Quang Tri and Thua Thien-Hue trees and stones as gifts.

Each province received with 21 pieces of coral stone and tropical almond trees – which symbolise 21 islands all over the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.

The gifts are evidence to affirm Vietnam’s sovereignty over its seas and islands as well as determination of its people to defense the country’s territorial integrity.

The invaluable souvenirs of Truong Sa is expected to educate Vietnamese people and soldiers on Truong Sa archipelago sovereignty and uniting people in the mainland with those in Truong Sa.
