Continue to innovate and diversify forms of legal dissemination

Applying information technology, organizing competitions... these are new ways done by Provincial Council for Legal Education and Dissemination to attract more and more people to legal learning activities.

A legal dissemination session for workers coordinated by Binh Duong Provincial Lawyers Association.

In 2023, judicial work in the province has closely followed the socio-economic development goals of Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, plan of Provincial People's Committee, and judicial work program of Ministry of Justice, therefore some positive results were achieved. One of the "bright spots" is that the work of legal dissemination and education has been carried out flexibly, in accordance with the actual situation.

Accordingly, legal dissemination work was intensified on the media and on social networks; applied information technology and implemented digital transformation in legal dissemination and education; developed information on the province's web portal and information pages of departments, branches, localities, and social networking sites. At the same time, the contest "Learning about law online on the internet" in Binh Duong province in 2023 also promoted its effectiveness and spread extensively...

As a result, in 2023, departments and branches in the province organized 527 direct legal education sessions, with 34,295 attendees; issued 102,329 legal disseminating documents, including 478 documents posted on the internet, of which Department of Justice coordinated with Provincial People's Committee Office to disseminate information for more than 700 ethnic minorities, distribute 80,000 legal leaflets and 1,500 other documents, such as professional manuals on legal access standards, marriage and family handbooks; organized 15 legal competitions attracting 61,229 participants...

Meanwhile, district-level justice departments and commune-level People's Committees conducted 1,052 direct legal education and dissemination, attracting 87,911 participants; organized 26 legal competitions, with 27,288 participants; distributed 431,073 documents...

Grassroots conciliation work continues to be identified as an effective direct legal propagation channel, contributing to both building and preserving solidarity within the people and protecting social order and security. Grassroots conciliation activities have contributed to limiting disputes, complaints and denunciations that go beyond levels and disputes that have to be resolved in all-level courts; contributing to building cultural families and cultural hamlets. The number of conciliation cases every year is gradually decreasing, and the successful conciliation rate is also increasing.

According to Nguyen Anh Hoa, Director of Provincial Department of Justice, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial Legal Education Dissemination Coordination Council, in the coming time, Department of Justice will continue to advise Provincial People's Committee to issue documents to implement the project, focus on building electronic civil status database, online civil status registration, digitize civil status books, and digital conversion; continue to strengthen information and dissemination of legal documents effective in 2024 and issues of public concern; organize and operate a web portal on legal education dissemination; effectively implement projects on legal education dissemination, grassroots conciliation, legal access standards...
