According to a report by the People's Committee of Dau Tieng district, up to now, the whole district has had a total of 253 farms on animal husbandry, including 124 poultry farms and 129 cattle farms, with stability maintained over the same period. Estimatedly, there are 215,770 heads of cattle, up 3.9% over the same period and 3.76 million heads of poultry, up 2.7% over the same period. The district’s aquaculture area is about 116,000m2. In the district, there are also 11 households raising wild animals with 1,674 animals of all kinds, an increase of 9% over the same period.

Over the past time, the district focused on drastically and synchronously implementing solutions to control and prevent epidemics in livestock and poultry. In the first quarter of 2024, no epidemics occurred in livestock, poultry and aquatic animals. In addition, the district’s functional forces regularly inspected the situation of slaughtering, quarantining, transporting and trading animals and their products.
