Early November 21, provincial Department of Industry and Trade had a session with a number of departments, sectors, districts, towns, cities and retail businesses in the province to approve a plan on market price stabilization, reserving essential goods in 2024, the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2024 in the province.
According to the plan set up by provincial Department of Industry and Trade, in 2024, the whole province will have 17 businesses, supermarkets, shopping centers and convenience stores participating in stockpiling goods with prices stabilized with a total value of more than VND 11.6 trillion (excluding gasoline, medicine). The value of essential goods stockpiled at traditional markets in districts, towns and cities to serve the shopping needs of people before, during and after the 2024 (Lunar New Year) festival is about VND 236.2 billion.
At the meeting, businesses agreed on the local market price stabilization plan for 2024 while committing to ensuring quality goods, food safety, selling goods at the right price as registered and declared... The peak time for implementing the plan from December 1, 2023 to March 1, 2024 and then it continues being deployed in the remaining months of 2024.
