Provincial leaders made the statement at a ceremony to honor Binh Duong Entrepreneurs on the occasion of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13) taking place on the afternoon of October 12. The event aimed at acknowledging, honoring contributions by the business community and entrepreneurs and encouraging them to continue striving, overcoming obstacles, contributing to successfully completing the local tasks on socio-economic development.

Overcoming challenges, seizing opportunities

Possible speaking, Binh Duong's entrepreneurs have never experienced so many turbulences and harsh challenges as in the past 3 years, but they have always shown responsibility, solidarity, creativity, innovation, always being a leading force on the economic front, making positive contributions and accompanying the province during the development journey.

Speaking at the event, Nguyen Van Danh, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee emphasized that over the past years, the local entrepreneurs quickly increased in both quantity and quality, with diversification in fields consistent with the shift of the local economic restructure. The business community and entrepreneurs have a very important position and role, making great contributions to the local development. Many businessmen have created miracles and made Binh Duong famous.

Upon this, the province's socio-economic field in the 9 months of 2023 still maintained development. The province’s index of industrial production (IIP) increased by 4.2%. The province’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) increased by 4.94%. The province’s total investment capital for social development rose by 11.4%. The province’s total retail sales revenue of goods and services grew by 13.4% over the same period in 2022. The province’s export turnover was US$ 23.2 billion while import value reached US$ 16.3 billion. The province’s trade surplus was nearly US$ 7 billion. The province also obtained certain results in the fields of culture and society, with social welfare, political security and social order ensured.

Bui Nguon Phong, General Director of Le Phong Investment and Development Company Limited (Le Phong Group) said that the province's business community has gone through a truly arduous journey and it is still not over, due to the business climate still being in a volatile period. Above all, the province's entrepreneurs have always nurtured their desire of getting rich, building up a more and more prosperous homeland.

Spreading positive energy

Speaking at the event, Mr. Danh said that there is always the opportunity in danger. Binh Duong businesses are facing difficulties, but are always ready to to integrate into the breath of change in the economy, seizing better opportunities and bringing them to new heights. Many large-scale enterprises in the province, namely Becamex IDC, VSIP, Unigroup, Minh Long... have reached regional and international development. Wherever Binh Duong enterprises go, they all make contributions, are respected, and consciously keep their promise.

Giang Quoc Dung, Permanent Vice-Chairman of Binh Duong Business Federation said that despite facing fluctuations, province-based businesses are promoting solutions to ensure production and business activities, being flexible and adaptive in the new context. Many businesses and entrepreneurs have made great efforts to accompany the province in overcoming all difficulties to maintain and recover operations and join hands to contribute to the economy returning to a new normal environment. The business community is committed to always accompany the province in overcoming all difficulties and strive together for a prosperous and sustainable Binh Duong.

Also at the event, Mr. Danh emphasized that Binh Duong has always created the local favorable business mechanism and climate. In the coming time, there will be more substantive solutions to support businesses to overcome difficulties. Provincial leaders always wish that each enterprise and businessman in the province should be always determined to overcome difficulties, increase investment, develop production and business; pursue their desire of rising up and forming famous Vietnamese products and brands that are regional and world-class; promote culture and morality in business and comply with the law; enhance the spirit of creativity and social responsibility; join hands in improving people's lives, contributing to building up a more and more prosperous Binh Duong province towards a smart city in the future.
