Possibly speaking, in 2010 the provincial Fatherland Front Committee in cooperation with its affiliates launched and excelled tasks of expanding the national great unity bloc, improving the quality of movements, mobilizations of “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples”, “All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas”… as well as bounding for the poor and unlucky children.

The most highlighted character of the front work 2010 was that all level front bodies gathered the public into organizations, mobilizations and patriotic emulation movements with plentiful forms, contributing to raise unity and promote the national great unity bloc. In 2010, all level front bodies held emulation movements to welcome party congresses at all levels, the 11th national party congress, organized 29 conferences for more than 2,400 businesses, religious dignitaries… Besides, fronts at all levels expanded forms of gathering people and models such as charity club, environmental self-control team, anti-crime club.

Statistically, front bodies at all levels forwarded 254 training courses, legal promulgations and mobilizations for more than 20,000 officials at all levels, built 34 pilot models of legal execution, distributed more than 1,000 legal book bags across boarding houses and residential areas.

Until now, localities across province have set up 553 environmental self-control teams with the participation of 2,765 members, held 16 training classes on environmental awareness for over 2,800 all level front officials as well as established 310 self-control teams on traffic safety with the participation of nearly 2,000 members. From these models, all level front bodies in cooperation with local board of traffic safety held promulgations on traffic law to the public.

Dao Ngoc Nu, chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, said all level front bodies in 2010 were active in movements of poverty reduction, mobilizing affiliates’ members to help over 75,000 poor families enjoy loans for homebased business development. Also the same year, all level front bodies mobilized over VND11,7bil for the Fund for the poor to build 521 hi-unity houses for the poor and offer heart surgeries for poor kids.

In the past flooding in central provinces, local front bodies at all levels mobilized over VND12bil in cash and gifts from businesses and donors to help the flood victims. From the money, the local Rescuse Commission held 4 rescue visits to across 10 flooding provinces.

Vu Minh Sang, vice secretary of local party committee, said all level front bodies renovated their operations to improve position of front work in new period. To keep helping the province develop more sustainable, all level front bodies should mobilize the public to join in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to finalize the 9th local party congress’ resolution as well as build and promote strength of national great unity bloc.
