Get-together for teachers and alumni of Tan Phuoc Khanh high school held

Early May 5, the Alumni Liaison Board of Chau Thanh high school - Tan Uyen II - Tan Phuoc Khanh organized its 14th get-together for teachers and alumni.

The get-together was attended by Ton Ngoc Hanh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice-Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union; Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of the Alumni Liaison Board of Tan Phuoc Khanh high school; Mai Hung Dung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Propaganda-Education Commission, along with leaders of Tan Uyen city and nearly 700 former teachers and students through the school years.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the 58 years of establishment and development of Chau Thanh - Tan Uyen II - Tan Phuoc Khanh high school (now Tan Phuoc Khanh high school). After 58 years of establishment and development, from a school with 2 classes, lacking in material resources, so far, the school has developed spaciously, with facilities to ensure teaching and learning activities. From this school, many generations of students have grown up and achieved many successes. Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Thao wished the next generations of teachers and students to do more meaningful activities together, being worthy of the school's development tradition, contributing to the development of Tan Phuoc Khanh high school in the future.

On this occasion, the Alumni Liaison Board of Tan Phuoc Khanh high school presented souvenirs to the school and paid tribute to teachers in the school's management board over periods, retired teachers; rewarded 12 students who won awards at provincial and national levels for good students and passed as university valedictorians from 2019 to 2023; rewarded 4 outstanding teachers and teachers with achievements in fostering excellent students at the provincial and national levels; awarded scholarships to 44 poor-but-excellent students; gave financial support for 2 teachers with difficult circumstances. Provincial Military Command presented gifts to 2 students registering to take the entrance exam to military schools in 2024. Provincial Study Promotion Association awarded 20 scholarships worth VND100 million to the school’s students with difficult circumstances.
