Get-together marks August Revolution and National Day

Early August 31, provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee grandly held a get-together to mark the 67th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

  Former President Nguyen Minh Triet and provincial leaders paid a visit to provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery on August 31Attending the event were former President Nguyen Minh Triet; Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee Mai The Trung; Vietnamese heroic mothers and revolutionary seniors over periods.

On this occasion, the province also awarded the first, second and third-class Independence Medals to former leaders of Song Be province; awarded 52 first, second and third-class Labor Medals to former leaders of the province over periods.

At the get-together, provincial Party Committee Deputy Secretary, People’s Committee Chairman Le Thanh Cung reviewed the glorious tradition of Vietnamese army and people during the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, especially highlighted the historical significance of the August Revolution and National Day. He also applauded contributions made by cadres, soldiers, civil servants and people across the province to the development of the province.

Earlier, former President Nguyen Minh Triet, provincial Party Committee Secretary Mai The Trung and other leaders burn incense and paid a wreath with the passage which conveyed the importance of remembering heroes’ and martyrs’ sacrifice forever to commemorate heroes and martyrs at provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery.
