*Early July 25, Di An town grandly held a get-together to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day.
At the get-together, Hoang Le Chi, Vice-Chairwoman of Di An town’s People’s Committee showed her deep gratitude to war invalids and the families of martyrs for their contributions to the nation. Di An town has over time promoted many activities of “Paying debt of gratitude”. On this occasion, the town presented 200 gifts worth VND500,000 each to war invalids and martyrs’ families; awarded the certificates of merit to 25 collectives, 12 individuals for their contributions to the movement of “Paying debt of gratitude” in the 2008 and 2012 period.
*Thuan An town, on July 25, organized a get-together to mark the 65th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day.
At the get-together, Vietnamese heroic mothers, the families of war invalids and martyrs and those who rendered service to the revolution reviewed the glorious tradition of Vietnamese people, especially of Thuan An town’s army and people in the two resistance wars against foreign invaders.
Do Thanh Tam, Chairman of Thuan An town’s People’s Committee said that under the national tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source”, the local authorities have over time made efforts in the task of “Paying debt of gratitude”. The whole town is now home to 2,217 social policy beneficiaries, including 73 Vietnamese heroic mothers (four still alive); 1,605 martyrs, 423 war invalids…Thanks to the Party and State’s attention, the spiritual and material lives of social policy beneficiary families herein have been improved obviously.
On this occasion, 10 collectives, 5 individuals were honored for their good performance in the movement of “Paying debt of gratitude”. The town’s People’s Committee also granted the titles of “Exemplary citizen” and “Exemplary revolutionary family” for 40 individuals and families.
*Tan Uyen district has just grandly held a get-together to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, in attendance of Vietnamese heroic mothers, revolutionary veterans, social policy beneficiary families…
Along with reviewing the 65-year tradition of the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, the district announced the State President’s decision to award the title of “Vietnamese heroic mother” to three mothers. On this occasion, the district also granted the certificates of “Exemplary citizen”, “Exemplary revolutionary family” for 66 individuals and families; awarded the certificates of merit to 17 collectives, individuals for their contributions to the local movement of “Paying debt of gratitude” and presented 329 gifts to social policy beneficiary families…
Prior to that, the district’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee visited the district’s martyrs’ cemetery.
