Early October 16, Mai Hung Dung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting with Kim Jin Pyo, former Chairman of the National Assembly and former Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy of South Korea. The visit aimed at exploring investment cooperation opportunities and providing support from the Korean Economic Development Cooperation Fund (KEDCF) for hospitals in the province.
An overview of the meeting
At the reception, Kim Jin Pyo expressed his hope that through Global Together – an international non-governmental development organization – there will be collaboration with Binh Duong to promote community healthcare projects. These initiatives will particularly focus on providing healthcare services to those without access to modern facilities, people with difficult circumstances and illnesses, as well as on educational projects for multicultural social integration and support for low-income families.

Mr. Dung provided the delegation with information about the province's socio-economic development. He mentioned that Binh Duong is a rapidly industrializing province with a high rate of population growth. To sustain the workforce in the healthcare sector and enhance the quality of medical care and health services in the future, it is crucial to train a high-quality healthcare workforce. The province will also facilitate investment in this sector.
He also urged provincial departments, hospitals and educational institutions to actively coordinate and support KEDCF's investment in the development of healthcare and public health projects in the province.
