Local CPI in first 8 months of the year surges 3.3%

Provincial Statistics Department has just said that the province’s consumer price index (CPI) in the first 8 months of 2023 increased by 3.32% over the same period last year.

There were 9 main groups of goods and services with growth in the CPI. Of these, the group of food and food services increased by 2.55%. The reason for the increase was due to the increase in input costs and prices of raw materials for processing, causing fluctuations in prices on the market.
