Reviewing the provincial People’s Committee’s instruction and management at the summing-up conference on 7th local People’s Council, 2004-2011 term, showed that the local People’s Committee collectives made greater efforts to improve difficulties to reach the set goals of socio-economy and national defense-security.

Excellent individuals of the 7th local People’s Council receive Labor Orders.

The most highlighted thing in the past term was that the local People’s Committee focused on steering, launching the central and local agencies’ solutions to mobilize sources inside and outside the province for overall development of local key projects and works. Therefore, the average GDP growth rate for the 2006-2010 period reached 14% per year with increases on service density, economic structure.

The stable development of economy created a success of local budget collection. In 2010, budget collection won VND20,400bil, up 3.4 times from 2006 whilst average budget expenditure reached 24.3% per year, 2.6 times from 2006. Besides, the local People’s Committee steered localities to excel solutions of education-training, technology-science and socio-culture, healthcare for residents.

The provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung said that the above results were thanks to serious implementation, proper and flexible application of solutions from local Committee.

According to Cung, to uphold the done achievements, in the 2011-2015 period, the Committee will continue improving shortcomings to manage all level units in order to excel the set goals. In addition, the local People’s Committee will focus on building and managing urban areas modernly, implementing investment attraction solutions, spurring competition and production efficiency, perfecting the State structure, luring young talents in a bid to excel the entrusted tasks.
