Binh Duong’s youths have actively responded to activities of 10 days of emulation launched by the Secretariat of the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to welcome the 10th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. These activities have upheld the voluntary spirit of the local youth to a high degree, contributing to dealing with community’s difficulties and ensuring social order-security.

Nguyen Thi Kim Mai, Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union said that the local youths have actively responded activities of 10 specific contents of the emulation campaign for the sake of the community: environment protection; blood donation; public health; urban civilization; traffic order and safety; new rural construction; actions for the sake of young workers, poor and disadvantaged children, students and youths.

Particularly, the local youths have actively taken in keeping traffic safety and order. Provincial contest for elegant students with the theme of “Traffic safety” has also contributed to propagandize the beauty of traffic culture among students and residents.

In a series of actions for the sake of the poor, provincial Youth Union has handed over 2 charity houses to poor youths; teamed up with Binh Phuoc province’s Youth Federation to organize a ceremony to start construction of a charity house for a poor youth in Binh Phuoc in association with the camping festival “Chung dong song Be” (Sharing Be river).

Apartedly, provincial Youth Union has attached special importance to taking care of young workers. For example, provincial Youth Union, in collaboration with the Meiza cooking oil brand, the Ho Chi Minh city Industrial Zone Business Association (HBA) and the HCM city Worker Support Fund, has organized a series of variety shows for young workers in industrial parks of My Phuoc, Vietnam-Singapore, Song Than…and 8 companies in the province. Young workers had a chance to enjoy special items performed by well-known artists from HCM city and took park in lucky draws together with many other attractive activities. Provincial Youth Federation has also visited and presented gifts to poor students in the Central Highlands province of Dac Lac.

Under the content of “youths take action for public health”, provincial Young Physicians Club has provided free medical check-ups and medicine for more than 200 youths and poor residents in the remote regions of Phu Giao and Dau Tieng districts.

The 2012 provincial competition “youth squads on propaganda against drug abuse has also contributed to preventing HIV/AIDS, drug and other social evils among youths. In addition, the issuance of the Book “I love Binh Duong” has contributed to promoting the local new rural construction and urban civilization.

Such these apart, provincial Youth Union and its affiliates have excelled at engaging activities in environmental protection and voluntary blood donation. “Possibly speaking, the above youth works to welcome the 10th National Youth Congress has shown the strength of Binh Duong’s youths, contributing to building a more prosperous and beautiful homeland”, said Mrs.Mai.
