“National Great Unity” Festival at quarters cements tie between Party and people

In the early morning of Nov. 13, people in quarter 2, Dinh Hoa ward, Thu Dau Mot city joined eagerly in the “National Great Unity” festival. Especially, in this year’s festival, the ward’s quarter 2 welcomed the participation of the provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung.

Le Thi Hung, a typical citizen in the quarter, said joining in the festival and being learnt about the Party and State’s instructions on building an advanced hospital at the locality, local people felt excited. Hung’s family has over years made many contributions to the quarter through social charity activities.

Meanwhile, the quarter residents eagerly tracked back the 82nd anniversary of the Vietnam National United Front (Nov. 18, 1930-2012). Nguyen Van Rang, a retired cadre, said the quarter’s residents unite and cooperate well with local authorities. As such, being joined in the festival along with the provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung, every one felt happy.

Earlier, a crowd of people in BInh Thuan II quarter in Thuan Giao ward, Thuan An town talked to provincial and town leaders about building cultural life in residential areas in combination with building modern and civilized urban areas.

Meanwhile, people in hamlet 3, Tan Thanh commune, Tan Uyen district welcomed the provincial People’s Council chairman Vu Minh Sang to debate contents on promoting unity spirit and building cultural life in residential areas, especially information on separating Tan Uyen district into Tan Uyen town and D war zone district.

Promoting unity

Participating in the “National Great Unity” Festival across 26 typical quarters, provincial leaders shared and exchanged instructions and policies set out by the provincial authority. The provincial leaders hoped that local residents would promote unity and mutual assistance to build cultural life in residential areas.

The provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung said “To enhance quality of every quarter, every one should cooperate with local authorities through concrete deeds, every quarter should make efforts to build a stable economic life and healthy and civilized life and promote national identity”.

Tran Thi Son, vice chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee assessed that the national great unity festival at quarters and hamlets in the province took place warmly as steered by the provincial and central administrations. Many quarters indicated good deeds to create hi-unity among people. The new character of the mobilization of “All people unite to build cultural life in residential areas” 2012 is that all residential areas focus on launching 5 contents of the mobilization in combination with civilized urban and new rural buildings.

In this year, the steering boards at all levels have gained remarkable results. In 2012, quality of quarters has been improved, creating unity among people and contributing to the provincial sustainable development.
