On the afternoon of March 19, Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting on plans to celebrate major holidays and important events in the province in 2024.
In 2024, Binh Duong will organize many activities in celebration of major holidays. Particularly, Hung King's death anniversary is expected to be held at provincial Museum with solemn rituals, recreating the scene of Hung King Temple in the ancestral land. Besides, the event will be combined with displaying images and artifacts at provincial Museum. Cultural and artistic activities, cake wrapping contests... will take place at the park of Thu Dau Mot city. The celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory in association with the 49th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national unification and the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth will have 6 activities. In addition, the province will also hold a tree planting ceremony in gratitude of Uncle Ho. For the "Lai Thieu - Ripe fruit season" festival, it is expected that there will be 8 activities, including a pageant on "Fragrance of the garden", a fruit fair and a culinary-tourist festival, a photography contest with the theme of "Colors of the homeland"...
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Ha basically agreed on the plans to organize major holidays in the province in 2024 while requesting provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with departments, sectors and localities to advise on scenarios to organize ceremonies that are solemn, dignified, thoughtful, worthy of being held at provincial level. Festive activities need to create a joyful, meaningful atmosphere with the local typical cultural features.
