Over 95,000 candidates participate in the first round of HCMC National University's 2024 competency assessment

 *Binh Duong has over 3,000 candidates taking the exam

Early April 7, more than 95,000 candidates across the country participated in the first round of Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC) National University's 2024 competency assessment exam. This is the year with the largest number of candidates since the exam has been held from 2018.

The first round of the exam took place simultaneously in 24 provinces and cities nationwide, an increase of 3 localities compared to the previous year, with 51 exam clusters and 90 exam sites. Binh Duong has 3 exam sites located at Thu Dau Mot University, Binh Duong University and Eastern International University. Specifically, Thu Dau Mot University belongs to the exam site No.74, with 35 exam rooms and more than 1,200 candidates. Binh Duong University belongs to the exam site No. 75, with 19 exam rooms and nearly 800 candidates. Eastern International University belongs to the exam site No. 76, with 38 exam rooms and more than 1,100 candidates. According to statistics from HCMC National University, this year's exam in Binh Duong province has more than 3,000 candidates.

The competency assessment test includes 120 multiple-choice questions. Candidates have 150 minutes to complete the test. It is expected that the result of the exam’s first round will be announced on April 15. The results of the competency assessment exam are used by many universities across the country for university admission. As of now, there have been 105 universities and colleges nationwide registering to use the exam’s results for this year's admission.
