On January 18, Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to listen to Phu Giao district’s report on the planning project for the district until 2040.
At the meeting, leaders of Phu Giao district People's Committee reported on the district's construction planning project until 2040; put forward adjustments and supplements to planning. Accordingly, regarding development orientation towards agriculture - industry - urban, the district proposes to adjust and supplement the commerce - service sector. Regarding the development of industrial parks and industrial clusters combined with urban development in the areas of Road 745B, the district recommended to adjust it to urban development along the Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh expressway, for population development along National Highway 13C, Road 56B, branch road N2 and some provincial roads, such as the Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang highway; At the same time, develop industrial production at some suitable locations in the two communes of Tam Lap and An Binh.
Regarding development zoning, the district proposed that the province maintain 5 development zones. In case Provincial People's Committee and the Institute of Urban and Rural Planning maintain the three development zones, the district proposes the province adjusts and supplements the zoning; the central industrial - urban area adds Phuoc Hoa commune and Vinh Hoa commune; adjust the area of the provincial planning to convert it into a mixed development area. Regarding urban development, mixed development is needed along the Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh expressway to form three new urban areas...
Speaking at the meeting, Minh asked consulting units to accept opinions from departments and branches and make additional adjustments to the planning to complete the planning and be consistent with the provincial planning. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also noted that the nature of the district's planning must focus on industrial, urban and service development.
