This also presents an opportunity for Phu Giao district to widely introduce the potential and strengths of its agricultural products to people within and outside the area. Simultaneously, this event provides an opportunity for farmers to convene, exchange ideas, learn, and gain access to advanced agricultural products and technologies. This allows for the establishment of connections and the widespread application of scientific and technological advancements to support agricultural production and processing in the region.
Enhance the value of agricultural products
Phu Giao agriculture continues to shift towards concentration, applying scientific and technical advances, gradually forming and developing production and consumption links. The district's agricultural and forestry production value has reached VND2,957 billion, and the value of industry and handicrafts has reached VND2,883 billion. In addition, the district's livestock production is increasingly applying advanced technology, the proportion of cold farms is the majority, gradually reducing small-scale livestock farming and outdated technology, contributing to increasing labor productivity, increasing economic benefit for farmers.
Doan Van Dong stated that in order to develop agriculture and make the most of the land's potential advantages, Phu Giao district has devised a district plan with a vision for 2040. This plan focuses on the development of 6 additional high-tech agricultural zones, aiming to ensure economic development in conjunction with environmental protection, as well as the promotion of ecotourism.
Along with that, to enhance the quality of key products, the district will focus on creating brands; establishing commodity production areas with geographical indications and traceability to develop production processes that adhere to specified standards.
