Phu Giao district has a relatively flat terrain with land suitable for growing fruit trees (grapefruit, orange, tangerine, mango...), livestock and tourism services. Additionally, the district has a large agricultural land fund, with more than 88% of the total natural area, favorable for the development of high-tech agriculture.
With methodical, synchronized planning, Phu Giao district expects to develop in a modern and civilized direction in the near future
Besides rubber trees accounting for more than 80% of the perennial crop area, the district has formed several specialized citrus fruit agricultural areas, bringing high economic efficiency. Large-scale high-tech agricultural production farms applying advanced technology have been boldly invested in by locals, initially bringing high economic efficiency, contributing to improving the material and spiritual lives of people. Moreover, the high-tech agricultural area in An Thai commune, with a scale of more than 400 hectares, has also attracted visitors for sightseeing and learning experience, creating stable jobs for local workers.
In addition to its agricultural highlight, the district has many advantages to attract investment capital for developing industries and services - tourism as it borders economically developed areas such as Bau Bang district, Tan Binh Industrial Park in North Tan Uyen district and Nam Dong Phu Industrial Park in Binh Phuoc province’s Dong Phu district...Additionally, important routes, including DT741, DT750, and North Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang axis were constructed, facilitating convenient connections.
The industrial clusters in Phu Giao district have been basically formed and are calling for investment in infrastructure construction. Specifically, the district has put Tam Lap 1 Industrial Cluster into operation and is preparing to invest in 4 industrial clusters. Additionally, Phu Giao district has potential for tourism development with existing tourist areas such as Suoi Rat, Truc Lam Thanh Nguyen Zen Monastery, Phuoc Hoa Lake, Vam Va Stream, Song Be Bridge, Phuoc Thanh provincial governor's palace...

Doan Van Dong, Chairman of Phu Giao district’s People's Committee said that the province's favorable investment policies in high-tech agriculture, new-style rural construction, and industry have created conditions and motivation for the district to develop in a modern and civilized direction.

With initial achievements and great potential, Phu Giao district is determined to make a strong breakthrough in the near future. Accordingly, the district’s spatial development structure is divided into three regions. The central urban-industrial area includes Phuoc Vinh town, serving as the core urban center, concentrating on administrative, political, public, service and commercial centers, industrial clusters associated with mineral exploitation and processing, agricultural, forestry, and food processing... The agricultural area along the Be River includes 8 communes, namely An Long, An Linh, Tan Long, An Thai, Phuoc Sang, Phuoc Hoa, Tan Hiep and Vinh Hoa. The nature conservation area includes part of Tam Lap commune, focusing on tourism services, residential development associated with forestry, high-tech agriculture and animal husbandry.
According to Doan Van Dong, Chairman of Phu Giao district’s People's Committee, the district's planning is based on the principle of rational exploitation and use of natural resources, especially the economical and efficient use of land, in order to create resources for development, economic growth, ensuring social welfare, national defense and security and sustainable development, with synchronized architectural space, social and technical infrastructure systems among the areas.
