Having just completed export procedures for orders on the first day of the new year at Thu Dau Mot Customs Branch, Mr. Bui Thanh Phong, in charge of import-export department, Tin An Investment Joint Stock Company excitedly said that the orders were signed at the end of 2023 and early 2024, then exported right after the Tet holiday. On average, each month, businesses have carried out customs procedures about 180 import and export declarations for 300 containers of goods. Currently, the company has many more long-term orders. The positive signs at the beginning of the new year are the motivation for the company to have more spirit and determination for a successful business year.

Expectation for obstacle overcoming

A report from the Binh Duong Statistics Department showed that in January 2024, total import-export turnover reached 4.5 billion USD, of which export turnover reached 2.7 billion USD, an increase of 44% over the same period last year. Some major export items had high growth, including furniture products increased by 205.3%; iron and steel and iron and steel products by 162.3%; handbags, leather wallets, backpacks, hats, umbrellas by 161.2%; footwear of all kinds by 127.9%; textiles and garments by 126.4% over the same period last year.
