Proud of being Binh Duong’s youths

Provincial Youth Federation has reviewed its development and construction tradition on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Federation. Youths have made great contributions to the local socio-economic development

For social welfare

With the campaign of “Youths act for social welfare” launched by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, provincial Youth Union has always expressed the voluntary spirit of the local youths for the sake of the community.  

Youths making environmental hygiene

Building houses of compassion is one of the local youths’ significant activities under the campaign, contributing to the local program on hunger eradication and poverty reduction. Over the past two years, provincial Youth Federation built and handed over 44 houses of compassion to 44 needy youths with a total expense of more than VND1.5bln.

Provincial Poor Alien Youth Support Fund and Young Talent Support Fund also awarded 406 financial support packages worth VND890mln for needy youths. With the support, many alien workers have actually overcome difficulties to stabilized their lives, making a strong attachment with Binh Duong homeland.

Under the project of “Uniting and gathering young workers”, as many as 1,302 youth sub-unions were set up with 46,538 members. Provincial Youth Federation has so far opened classes on computer skills for 949 Youth Union cadres and actively kept traffic order and safety via the project of “Youths voluntarily take part in keeping traffic order and safety”…

Outstanding youths

Many exemplary role-models have been discovered via the campaign of “Youths act for social welfare”. They have actively engaged in activities of protecting the environment, opening charity classes for poor children…

Nguyen Thi Dung, Vice-Secretary of Bach Dang commune’s Youth Union in Tan Uyen district is a typical example for the above thing. As an enthusiastic Youth Union cadre, Dung has actively got involved in voluntary movements for the sake of the community. In a short time, she and some Youth Union members cleaned up 5 km of rural roads.

Or, Bach Thi Kim Chi, Vice-Secretary of Long Nguyen commune’s Youth Union in Ben Cat district has always actively organized vocational training classes and introduced jobs to youths…She has spared no efforts to promote the Youth Union movements.

Nguyen Thi Le An, Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Federation affirmed that the province’s youth movement has actually become a healthy environment for young people to make their contributions to the local development.
