Province strengthens prevention and control of forest fires and salinity in dry season

Currently, units and localities in the province are implementing measures to proactively prevent and combat drought, salinity and forest fires in the 2024 dry season.

Namely, provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is strengthening information dissemination, and education of laws and measures to prevent drought, saltwater intrusion, fire prevention, and forest fire fighting to all people.

Organize and inspect the implementation of plans to prevent drought, saltwater intrusion, prevent and fight forest fires; coordination plan in forest fire prevention and fighting with units and localities where forests are located. At the same time, to closely monitor the weather situation and water sources, promptly adjust plans to prevent and combat drought and saltwater intrusion; conduct inspection and handling of damaged irrigation works; focus on dredging and repairing canal systems.
