Early October 22, Vo Anh Tuan, Chief of provincial People's Committee Office, chaired a press conference to provide information on the province's socio-economic, national defense and security situation for the first nine months of 2024.
Over the past nine months, the province’s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) increased by 7.05% compared to the same period in 2023. The province’s export turnover reached US$ 26 billion, up 15.4% while import turnover was USD 18.4 billion, up 14.5%, resulting in a trade surplus of US$ 7.6 billion. The province’s State budget revenue amounted to VND 51 trillion, achieving 71% of the forecast. The province’s total public investment disbursement as of October 21 was more than VND 6.8trillion, accounting for 44.5% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister. The province’s total social development investment capital was estimated at VND 111 trillion, up 7.6%.
The province attracted US$ 1.56 billion in FDI capital and VND 59 trillion in domestic investment capital. Provincial People's Committee approved 30 investment projects capitalized about VND 96 trillion…In addition, the province well realized social welfare, ensuring proper care for social policy beneficiaries and workers on Tet holidays and great festivals.
According to Vo Anh Tuan, some of the province's key tasks for the rest of the year include completing the local relocation plan for businesses outside industrial zones in the southern areas to those in the northern zones; further focusing on reforming administrative procedures and improving the investment environment; supporting businesses in overcoming challenges. The province will also concentrate on compensation, land clearance and resettlement to accelerate the implementation of projects, especially major ones like the belt road 3 and National Highway 13; strive to disburse 95% or more of 2024’s public investment capital...
