Provincial leaders receive Chinese community’s delegation

Early February 23, leaders of provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee received a delegation representing the Chinese community and the Executive Board of Thien Hau Temple in Thu Dau Mot city at provincial Administrative Center on the occasion of the 2024 Thien Hau Lady temple festival.

The event was attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Minh Thuy, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Organization Commission; Nguyen Thi My Hang, Chairwoman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People's Council and representatives of provincial departments and sectors.

On behalf of the delegation, Tran Vinh An, Pernament Deputy of the Executive Board of Thien Hau Lady Temple in Thu Dau Mot city said that the Chinese community has always received attention from provincial Party committees and authorities at all levels, so the life of the Chinese community has got better and better. Currently, there are 1,469 Chinese households living in Thu Mau Mot city with 6,618 people. Over the past time, the Chinese Mutual Aid Association and the Executive Board of Thien Hau Lady Temple in Thu Dau Mot city made positive contributions in volunteer work. In 2023 alone, the Executive Board of Thien Hau Lady Temple in Thu Dau Mot city spent more than VND 5 billion on carrying out charity work in and out of the province...

Speaking at the reception, Mr. Ha acknowledged positive contributions by the Chinese community in economic development and creating the local cultural diversity. He hopes that the Chinese community in the province will continue well complying with the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and unite with other ethnic groups to build up a more and more beautiful and prosperous Binh Duong. The Executive Board of Thien Hau Lady Temple and Chinese Mutual Aid Associations continue having close coordination with local authorities to successfully organize the 2024 Thien Hau Lady temple festival to meet people’s needs of belief and spiritual cultural enjoyment, leaving a good impression on visitors about a traditional, humane festival, a hospitable, friendly and affectionate Binh Duong, with dynamic development.
