2010 is the year bearing an important significance for the province’s youth movements. This is the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 6th congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, the Resolution of the 5th congress of provincial Youth Union. Hence, the province’s youth movements have been implemented deeply and widely.
Particularly, provincial Youth Unions cooperated with Binh Duong Daily to launch the 3rd writing contest named “Bright example around me” to promote the “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” campaign; teamed up with Binh Phuoc provincial Youth Union to kick off a camping festival entitled “Sharing the Song Be river” at Can Nom lake resort in Dau Tieng district’s Thanh An commune with significant contests for 142 campers…
Giving vocational training to rural laborers
Provincial Youth Union and Center for Youth Activities also joined hands with the Southern Youth Center to organize a short-term training course named “Studying how to become useful citizens” for more than 200 pupils aged between 12 and 20. The program named “Training course in army” (Hoc ky quan doi) was organized by provincial Center for Youth Activities with participation of 150 pupils.
Apartedly, provincial Youth Union paid more attention to taking care of the lives of young workers via many significant activities, including opening computer classes, making law dissemination, visiting and presenting Tet gifts, organizing cultural-sports activities…Provincial Youth Union also promoted the project of “Enhancing task of uniting and gathering young workers at lodging facilities between 2007 and 2010”; organized the 3rd provincial Week for Young Workers with many substantial activities for young workers…
In terms of the “Paying debt of gratitude” activities, provincial Youth Union handed over 138 compassion and gratitude houses worth VND1.4bln; visited and cleaned up martyrs’ cemeteries with participation of 81,500 youths. Provincial Fund for Supporting Young Talent also awarded 62 scholarships and prizes worth more than VND200mln to poor-but-excellent pupils and youth union’s officials for their achievements in fields of scientific research, culture-sports…
Such these part, provincial Youth Union kicked off a festival entitled “Binh Duong’s youth-Creation for future development” with 3,000 participants; regularly made environmental hygiene, especially during the Youth Month and Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign. This year, the “Green Sunday” campaign also lured the participation of 64,000 youths.
Provincial Youth Union also cooperated with provincial Youth Job center to open a job festival with participation of 28 businesses having the recruitment demand of more than 3,000 laborers. More than 1,000 laborers directly participated in the festival while 4,125 others visited the festival via website at www.vieclambinhduong.vn . Besides, provincial Youth Union and its affiliates offered jobs for 8,120 youths and opened vocational training courses for 1,995 others…
