Seminar on late President Ho Chi Minh in the RoK

An international seminar on late President Ho Chi Minh was held for the first time in Gwangju city, the Republic of Korea (RoK) on May 17 to mark his 121st birth anniversary and his departure from Vietnam twenty one years later to seek ways to national salvation.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Tran Trong Toan said the seminar was jointly held by the RoK Chosun University and the Vietnam National University of Social Sciences and Humanities at a time when the two countries are busy preparing for the Vietnam-Republic of Korea friendship year 2012 to mark 20 years of their diplomatic ties.

Chu Duc Tinh, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, said Vietnamese and RoK scholars shared similar views of the late President’s great thought, morality and personality.

He appreciated the efforts of RoK professors and scholars to study the life and work of the late Vietnamese President.
