The Prime Minister has issued Decision No. 889/QD-TTg on June 24, 2020, approving the National Action Program on Sustainable Production and Consumption (SPC) for the period of 2021-2030. Accordingly, Binh Duong provincial People’s Committee also issued the Plan No. 5308/KH-UBND on October 18, 2021, to implement the National Action Program on SPC in Binh Duong for the period of 2021-2030. The goal is to "promote SPC actions" to ensure rapid and effective economic development; protect the environment, reduce poverty and restructure the economy; promote circular economy and sustainable development.
Training on sustainable production and consumption for businesses in Uyen Hung industrial compound
SPC activities will be implemented in a synchronous way, focusing on breakthrough actions and integrating these efforts into existing related programs. The approach gets in involved to fostering linkages in all stages of the lifecycle of products, from exploitation of material resources to production, distribution, consumption and disposal; focuses on repair, maintenance, reuse and recycling in all stages of products’ lifecycle.
The programs pays attention to innovation, creativity and application of environmentally-friendly technologies, improving equipment and management processes to effectively utilize resources, fuel and raw materials while minimizing waste; promotes the production and consumption of locally manufactured product lines and mobilizes participation from all sectors, with businesses and consumers playing a central role in SPC.
To support businesses in understanding and implementing the National Action Program on SPC, on September 26, 2024, Binh Duong provincial Center for Trade Promotion and Industrial Development collaborated with Uyen Hung Industrial Compound to organize a training course on sustainable production and consumption for managerial staff of manufacturing enterprises in the province.
At the training session, reporters disseminated key policies and solutions to promote SPC activities and shared various programs to assist businesses in managing and efficiently using material resources to minimize environmental pollution emissions, thereby reducing production costs and improving businesses’ competitiveness in the market.
The Center for Trade Promotion and Industrial Development under provincial Department of Industry and Trade is responsible for the implementation of the annual SPC plan through training sessions, workshops, creating reports and articles to promote SPC as well as conducting rapid and comprehensive SPC assessments for businesses…
The center acts as a bridge, bringing the Government’s support and policies programs closer to businesses, thereby advancing sustainable production toward the common goals set forth by the Prime Minister.
