Binh Duong province is now home to more than 700,000 laborers, most of them are immigrant ones in the age group for going to the vote. This is an important voter force, so provincial Labor Union has instructed the Trade Unions at all levels and the Election Committees at all levels to strengthen the task of educating and disseminating information about the upcoming elections among them.

Workers account for a large proportion of the province’s voters

 Provincial Labor Union has taken initiative in building a plan to make its propaganda activities for the upcoming elections among laborers, which is closely linked with the implementation of the action programs to realize the Resolution of the 9th provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the 11th National Party Congress. Provincial Election Committees at all levels have also paid attention to ensuring favorable conditions for all laborers and Trade Union members to take part in the upcoming elections…

Nguyen Thien Phuoc, head of provincial Labor Union’s Education-Propaganda Department affirmed: “Initially, the department will work with other departments under provincial Labor Union to directly disseminate information about the upcoming elections among laborers. The Labor Union Standing Committees of districts, towns and the sectorial Trade Unions must have close cooperation with the Election Committees at all levels to instruct the Trade Union locals to strengthen the task of disseminating information about the upcoming elections among laborers; while mobilizing them to take part in all meetings between voters and candidates.

Also according to him, the most important thing is that the Trade Union locals and employers need to discuss and make favorable conditions for the local election propaganda groups to have meetings with workers while making favorable conditions for 100% of workers to take part in the upcoming elections…
