Taking care of young workers during Tet

Provincial Youth Union and Youth Federation have over time made substantial activities to take care of alien workers during the Tet holiday. Especially, the birth of the provincial Support Fund for Alien Young Workers has contributed to offering more help to alien young workers. The fund’s directorate has also teamed up with provincial Youth Union and Youth Federation to organize Tet activities for these workers with the annual cost of around VND100mln.

 

Provincial leaders awarding gifts to poor alien youths

 Provincial Youth Unions and Youth Federations at all levels have organized many activities to make coherence between alien workers and the province. Particularly, the Youth Unions and Youth Federations of Thuan An, Di An and Ben Cat districts donated 1,700 kg of rice, 792 Tet gifts and other things worth hundreds of millions of dong to needy workers; organized art performance programs, karaoke singing contests…for them.

 This Tet, provincial Youth Union and Youth Federation have taken initiative in planning to take care of young workers. They will cooperate with the directorate of the provincial Support Fund for Alien Young Workers to visit and donate 30 cash gifts worth VND1mln each to the sub-unions for young workers at lodging facilities across the province; instruct their affiliates to organize activities taking care of young workers during the Tet holiday…

The affiliates of provincial Youth Union and Youth Federation have also made plans to organize Tet activities for young workers. Particularly, Thuan An district’s Youth Federation will kick off a Tet program for young workers on the evening of Jan.30 with many substantial activities such as organizing art performance items; donating Tet gifts worth VND300,000 each to young workers…

 Whilst, Di An district’s Youth Federation will organize a music show at the administration center of the district on the 3rd, 4th and 5th nights of the lunar January, which expects to lure over 30,000 young workers who cannot return home for Tet; join hands with its affiliates at foreign businesses to hold year-end parties, karaoke singing contests, folk games for alien young workers…. TDM town’s Youth Union and Youth Federation will also organize a spring street festival with interesting activities for young workers, including a culinary street, a banh tet making contest…

 With the above-mentioned activities, it is hoped that young workers who cannot return home for Tet will enjoy a joyful and significant Tet in Binh Duong.
