Under the plan on building TDM city between 2011 and 2015 in accordance with criteria of a first-class city, TDM city’s Party Committee is boosting its development process in all aspects, in which the city focuses on effectively implementing new rural construction in three suburban communes of Chanh My, Tuong Binh Hiep and Tan An to narrow the gap between the inner and suburban areas.

To Nguyen Thanh Tai, chairman of TDM city’s People’s Committee, TDM city now bends on effectively implementing new rural construction in three suburban communes of Tan An, Tuong Binh Hiep and Chanh My under the plan on building TDM city between 2011 and 2015 in accordance with criteria of a first-class city. 

Synchronous infrastructure will help TDM city’s suburban communes get a sustainable development

TDM city will also call for enterprises to make investment in residential estates, ecological tourist sites, eco-garden villas in Tan An, Tuong Binh Hiep and Chanh My communes. These communes have favorable location for urban agricultural and ecological development with many key streets, namely Highway No.13, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Huynh Van Cu…, going through them, especially they lie along with Sai Gon river.

In addition, TDM city will further implement basic construction; effectively carry out investment attraction policies and support individuals, enterprises to expand their production-trading activities; make favorable conditions for the development of home industries, contributing to generating jobs for the local laborers…

These communes will also guide the local people to apply sci-tech advancements in production; attach special importance to urban agricultural production; build a synchronous investment plan on socio-economic infrastructure, gradually eradicating the gap between the urban and rural areas.

To fulfill criteria for developing into a ward by 2015, Chanh My commune has concentrated on building a plan to realize the national target program on new rural construction in the 2011 and 2015 period, according to the communal People’s Committee chairwoman Nguyen Thi Bach Tuyet.

To date, there have been 60 construction works of Chanh My commune covered by asphalt and concrete. The commune has also paid attention to social infrastructure development, including improving the quality of education and health…

Pham Minh Hung, chairman of Tan An communal People’s Committee said that the commune will further promote its economy towards the growth of service-home industry and agriculture. For a sustainable socio-economic development, the commune needs to speed up investment in traffic infrastructure, urban rejuvenation and tighten control over environment to reshape the local image; take care of the local people’s spiritual and material lives to make a comprehensive change…

With the above efforts, it is hoped that TDM will successfully implement a plan to develop it into a first-class city in the 2011 and 2015 period.
