My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park is considered one of the high-quality industrial parks in the province. Currently, this industrial park attracts green, clean, high-tech projects that are environmentally friendly, creating significant added value and contributing to the growth and local budget revenue.
My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park is also the first industrial park in Vietnam to apply a new construction model, which is to build a complex that not only attracts industrial production activities but also includes service, commercial, urban, and residential activities to ensure sustainable development and aim to build the northern region of the province into an industrial city. This industrial park has attracted 238 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a total capital of over 2.6 billion US dollars. Other industrial parks in Ben Cat City, such as Protrade International Industrial Park, currently have 89 FDI projects with an investment capital of over 1.9 billion US dollars; My Phuoc 1 Industrial Park has attracted nearly 783 million US dollars; My Phuoc 2 Industrial Park has attracted over 1.4 billion US dollars of FDI capital.
According to Mr. Nguyen Trong An, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ben Cat City, with favorable location, spacious and airy land, along with attractive policy mechanisms, industrial parks in the city have been and are attracting strong investment. Up to now, Ben Cat City has attracted 6,845 projects, including over 6,000 domestic projects with a total registered capital of nearly 67,339 billion VND; and over 840 foreign projects with a total registered capital of over 10 billion USD.
Currently, in addition to the industrial zones that have been filled 100% of the area, the investors of the remaining industrial zones in Ben Cat City are actively coordinating with the local authorities to accelerate the progress of land clearance, deploy investment in technical infrastructure construction, quickly promote and attract investment in secondary projects. The city always strives to improve the investment environment, complete and upgrade infrastructure facilities to better serve the needs of investors.
Infrastructure well-prepared before new FDI inflows
Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuan, CEO of Becamex IDC Corporation, said that in order to prepare the infrastructure to continue attracting FDI capital, many businesses have invested in developing factories and industrial warehouses in Ben Cat City. Becamex IDC Corporation and its partners have fully prepared the infrastructure at My Phuoc 1, 2, 3 Industrial Parks, Thoi Hoa, continuing upgrading and improving important transportation routes such as National Highway 13, My Phuoc - Tan Van, DT743, etc., enhancing connectivity not only within the region but also flexible connections to the outside, linking with provinces and cities in the Key Economic Region in the South.
Currently 8 industrial parks locally have helped Ben Cat City attract over 10 billion USD of FDI capital. Ben Cat is becoming an attractive destination for investors, contributing to the development of industry, rapid urbanization, commerce, and services, creating favorable conditions for local residents to produce and do business, and improving the quality of life for the people in the area. |
Recently, the People's Committee of the province has also issued a decision approving the urban development area along the Vanh Dai 4 of Ho Chi Minh City - Zone 1 in the area of Ben Cat City with a total area of about 2,700 hectares, including 10 urban areas and 4 ports. According to this decision, the urban development area along the Vanh Dai 4 of Ho Chi Minh City - zone 1, Ben Cat City will be a port - logistics - service urban area with a scale of about 2,702.73 hectares in An Tay Ward, An Dien Ward, and Phu An Commune. The port - logistics urban area is considered an important transportation hub of Binh Duong province and the gateway connects with Ho Chi Minh City through the Vanh Dai 4 of Ho Chi Minh City's transportation system, in which, the project of technical infrastructure for the construction of 4 ports along the Saigon River will be implemented with a total investment capital of over 3,400 billion VND.
The Vanh Dai 4 project in Ho Chi Minh City has a total length of 207km, passing through 5 localities including Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and Long An. The section passing through Binh Duong is 47.5km long. Specifically, the section passing through My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park, My Phuoc 4 Industrial Park (Chanh Phu Hoa and Thoi Hoa wards, Ben Cat City) is 8km long and has been invested, completed, and put into operation earlier.
It can be seen that, with many development potentials, Ben Cat City is effectively exploiting the advantages of its geographical location, investing in synchronized infrastructure and increasingly perfecting it, along with the rapid development of industry, commerce, and services, which have been and are creating strong momentum to promote this locality to become an urban center with the functions of an industrial-service-transportation hub; in which the industry is developed towards clean industry with high technology of the province.
