In 2012, despite difficulties of socio-economic situation, the city party committee and mass bodies and localities have made greater efforts to reach a fair growth. Accordingly, the city reached a 24.4% increase in economic growth, a 13.5% rise in industrial production value, a 33.7% increase in trade and service and among others.

In terms of the social welfare, 100% of commune and ward health stations have doctors, 952 households escape poverty, 99.85% of households use clean water and 99.97% of families use the national electricity grid. 

As for the work of political system building, party committee at all levels basically complete their set plans, seriously implement criticism in line with the Central Resolution 4 (term XI) on "Some current urgent issues on building the Party". The all level authorities have been reinforced, improving managerial capacity.

The work of mass mobilization of party committee, authority and Fatherland Front Committee and mass bodies has been paid much attention positively.

In 2013, Thu Dau Mot city will strive to reach a 22% increase in economic growth in the structure of trade-service, industry and agriculture with density of 60.81%, 39.07% and 0.12%, respectively, to obtain a per capital income of VND61mil per year, a 14.19% increase in industrial production and construction value and VND1,750bil in budget collection as well as will make efforts to decline by 0.5% in the children malnutrition rate and 1% in poor household rate…

Also the same day, Tan Uyen district party committee held its 11th executive committee meeting (term X) for the 2010-2015 tenure.

In this year, the district reaches VND12,061bil in total production value, a 14.79% increase from 2011, 58.76%-28.40%-12.84% in industry-service-agriculture, respectively, declines 239 poor households…

Social welfare policies and national defense and security have been implemented well.
