In the face of the increasing risk of traffic accidents caused by cars, trucks and motorbikes driving in the wrong lanes, Thuan An city’s Police Agency have further intensified tasks on inspecting and handling wrong cases. After two days of enforcement during the recent National Day holiday (September 2), the city’s Police Team for Traffic Safety and Social Order detected and dealt with hundreds of violations on traffic safety.

Lieutenant Colonel Vu Hai Hau, Head of the city’s Police Team for Traffic Safety and Social Order said that over the past time, traffic safety on the roads under their patrol was maintained, ensuring smooth traffic flow. To further address the issue of vehicles driving in the wrong lanes, numerous checkpoints were set up across key roads during the National Day holiday to check and deal with wrong cases.
Through these checkpoints, the unit’s officers detected and fined nearly 100 motorbike violations. Many cars and trucks were also found and penalized for lane violations during regular traffic patrols.
To ensure traffic safety in the area, the city’s Police Team for Traffic Safety and Social Order will continue working with businesses, schools and local authorities to disseminate traffic laws among people.
