To ensure a balance between supply and demand of essential goods and stabilize the commodity market at the end of 2023 and Lunar New Year 2024, Provincial Department of Industry and Trade will monitor and evaluate the supply and demand of goods, especially are essential items, products with high demand; ask businesses participating in market stabilization to have plans and prepare goods sources, reserve essential goods and implement market stabilization measures according to regulations.

In addition, Department of Industry and Trade coordinates with Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and functional units to closely monitor the supply situation of essential agricultural and food products; organize connection activities between distribution businesses and essential food suppliers to create a source of goods to stabilize the market; People's Committees of districts, towns and cities develop plans to reserve goods at traditional markets, and at the same time review and arrange additional points, counters, and stalls to sell goods... to meet shopping and consumption needs of the people.

There are currently 17 businesses registering for stockpiling essential goods to serve the people in 2024. Market stabilization product groups are products that are domestically produced, have origin, ensure food safety, meet quality standards, and have reasonable prices; have an abundant, stable supply, ensuring the balance of supply and demand and meeting the people's consumption needs, even in the event of market fluctuations; guarantee prices are always 5-10% lower than market prices from time to time.
