On the morning of June 25, Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company (VSIP JSC) in coordination with the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the VSIP Ha Tinh Industrial Park project (phase 1) with a scale of 190.41 hectares in Thach Ha district. Attending the ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha; Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee of Binh Duong province; and leaders of Ha Tinh province.
The VSIP Ha Tinh Industrial Park project (phase 1) was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1003/QD-TTg on August 29, 2023, with an area of 190.41 hectares. The project has a total investment of over 1,555 billion VND, with VSIP JSC as the investor, which is expected that the leased area after filling will create over 30,000 jobs, contributing to the economic restructuring, and increasing the state budget revenue, and promoting the rapid and sustainable socio-economic development of Ha Tinh province.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized that the commencement of the VSIP Ha Tinh industrial park project is not only a significant event to promote the industrialization and urbanization process, making Ha Tinh a modern and sustainable industrial province, one of the key growth areas in the North Central Coast and South Central Coast, but also a vivid testament to the effective, substantial, and strong cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore over the past 50 years.
Deputy Prime Minister proposes that Ha Tinh province have a comprehensive plan to continue supporting businesses, creating favorable conditions for investors to implement and operate projects effectively, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province; establishing tasks from infrastructure construction, establishing criteria to attract green investors, high-tech investors; connecting and exchanging development experiences with VSIP industrial parks nationwide. Besides attracting capital and technology, Ha Tinh needs to focus on innovation, harmoniously developing the economy with care for the labor force. Along with that, it is important to continue valuing administrative reform and improving the investment and business environment.
