On September 9, VSIP Group officially launched the VSIP Can Tho project in Vinh Trinh commune, Vinh Thanh district, Can Tho city. The launching ceremony is a continuation of the online groundbreaking ceremony of VSIP Can Tho taking place in Hanoi on August 29, chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. VSIP Can Tho is oriented towards a smart and sustainable industrial park model. VSIP Can Tho aims to become a large food processing and distribution center in the southern region, establish a logistics network from the center to ports and infrastructure to best support investors' supply chain needs. VSIP Can Tho Industrial Park is planned with a total area of 900 hectares. It is expected to create jobs for 100,000 workers, attracting $3.5 billion. Phase 1 has an area of 293.7 hectares and will create jobs for 20,000 - 30,000 workers.

VSIP Group is a joint venture between Becamex IDC and Sembcorp Development (Singapore). From the first VSIP in Binh Duong, VSIP Group's total land fund has increased to over 11,000 hectares. VSIP is providing production infrastructure for 880 customers from 30 countries and territories, with a total investment capital of $18.7 billion and creating jobs for nearly 300,000 direct workers and millions of indirect workers.
