VSIP is the country’s big trademark

VSIP is a joint venture unit between Singapore’s SembCorp Industries Group and Becamex IDC. VSIP I was built in 1996. So far, aside from VSIP I, VSIP II and VSIP II A in Binh Duong, Vietnam-Singapore IP Joint Venture Co. Ltd. has expanded investments across provinces and cities such as Bac Ninh, Hai Phong and Quang Ngai. After 16 years of establishment and development, these VSIPs have promoted their efficiency and been considered as symbol for friendship and good cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore. These IPs have made many significant achievements and contributed to Vietnamese economy’s growth as well as impressed a good image and investment environment on international friends.

At the reception session, Mrs. Low Sin Leng, co-chair of Vietnam-Singapore IP Joint Venture Co. Ltd. said that she is very moved to receive solemn reception from the provincial leaders during her working process. This is the most successful foreign investment project of SembCorp Industries Group, she added.

Addressing the session, the provincial Party Committee secretary Mai The Trung said that VSIP is one of 2 industrial parks established early in Binh Duong and is the most successful industrial park in the province. The birth of VSIP is an exemplary model and considered as a big trademark of the whole country. This success is thanks to attention of Vietnam and Singapore governments as well as effort of Vietnam-Singapore IP Joint Venture Co. Ltd. and great contribution of Low Sin Leng. The provincial authority highly appreciated Low Sin Leng’s contributions and hoped that she would continue to pay attention to VSIP.

At the session, Le Thanh Cung granted a merit certificate to Low Sin Leng for her excellent achievements in building and developing VSIP in the 2001-2012 period.
