Spread the beauty of traditional Ao Dai

These days, from urban to rural areas, Ao Dai has become a clothing topic that is of great interest to women. In many different ways, such as wearing ao dai to go to work, attending community cultural events, or taking photos wearing ao dai at monuments and landscapes in our hometown to post on social networks, women have contributed to honoring the cultural heritage of Vietnamese women.

In recent times, Women's Unions at all levels in the province focus on disseminating guidelines and policies related to women and children.

Nguyen Thi Thu Trang (quarter 4, Tuong Binh Hiep ward, Thu Dau Mot city), said: “Ao Dai Week is an opportunity for us to show our love and pride in the cultural heritage of Vietnamese women. On this occasion, we want to wear ao dai, take a few photos and post on social networks to spread the love of ao dai to everyone."

The cheerful laughter and lively colors of Ao Dai worn by more than 1,000 members, women, artists, students... in Thu Dau Mot City made many passers-by feel very interested. That is an image of part of the parade in the Ao Dai Festival program "Graceful Women of the Thu Land". The impression of the festival is the parade in Ao Dai with accessories such as flags, lotus flowers, and conical hats, led by antique cars including auto-rickshaws and Honda 67s. The festival was also adorned with pink lotuses and balloons and a group of young women performing graceful dances, carrying blooming spring flowers and waving to the city. The parade route moved through following locations: roundabout at the sixth intersection, Ngo Quyen street and move towards the main stage area at Bach Dang walking street.

To spread the Ao Dai Festival as well as encourage members and women to wear Ao Dai more often during festivals, events or when going to work, Standing Committee of the City Women's Union launched two major activities, including: events "Wear beautiful ao dai - Check in Thu land" and "Let's change Facebook and Zalo avatars with Ao Dai". The union also set up decorated photo corners with both traditional and modern styles so that members, women and people participating can capture their radiant moments in lovely ao dai.

Build a new era model

Together with women nationwide, women's unions at all levels in Binh Duong have continuously implemented practical action programs to help officials and members promote good qualities of women in the new era. Some criteria are "being healthy, having knowledge, being creative, and being responsible" have been integrated into many programs by the Binh Duong Women's Union, creating a deep impression, thereby arousing the potential, internal strength and creativity of women at all levels and classes.

In addition, district-level Women's Unions concretized criteria for emulation movements, such as "Thuan An women behave civilly - Live with gratitude"; the movement "Thu Dau Mot women behave beautifully - live with kindness and love"...; organized conferences, competitions, and thematic activities to help members and women grasp and understand the meaning of emulation movements. Many activities to concretize emulation movements such as folk-dance competitions, competitions honoring Vietnamese ao dai, responding to the activity "Each woman a green tree, each association a green project"; “return-to-the-root” activities... Through the implementation of the emulation movements, more than 600 collectives and more than 4,300 outstanding individuals in various fields were praised and recognized...
