The crime situation often gets complicated before the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival. To excel at prevention, in addition to the police force, the role of each citizen in the movement protecting national security is extremely important to build up a safe and healthy environment...
Mobilizing strength among people
To promote people’s role in crime prevention, Dau Tieng district’s Police Agency has just coordinated with An Lap commune’s police force to make law dissemination and announce criminals’ tricks at lodging facilities crowded with workers. Accordingly, Dau Tieng district’s police force has informed people to be wary when walking alone in dark, deserted areas; not leave assets exposed, creating conditions for criminals to attack... The local police force has also distributed 2,000 leaflets, helping workers and people raise their spirit of vigilance and actively participate in the fight against crime, protecting security and order in grassroots areas at the end of the year.
Provincial Police Agency makes law dissemination for workers to mobilize the strength of the entire population in the fight against crimes
In recent days, in addition to Dau Tieng district, other localities in the province have increased propaganda to raise people's vigilance against criminals' tricks, especially before, during and after the 2024 Tet festival. Previously, on December 15, the police force of the entire province launched a ceremony to crack down criminals, ensuring security and order for the 2024 Tet festival. The peak phase has been carried out from December 15 -2023 to February 29, 2024.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee requested to promote propaganda and raise awareness of officials, Party members and people in complying with regulations; committing not to violate the law in general, the law on managing fireworks, explosives, social evils and ensuring traffic order and safety, fire and explosion prevention in particular; effectively implementing measures to prevent, detect and denounce crimes while widely launching the movement of all people protecting national security...
"Self-defense”, “self-management” motto promoted
It can be said that from authorities’ propaganda, the spirit of "self-defense, self-management, self-protection, self-reconciliation" among the people has upheld its efficiency over the past time. Since then, many good models and new ways have been born, contributing to promoting the local movement of all people protecting national security.
According to a report by provincial People's Committee, up to now, the province has built many effective models, namely Crime Prevention Club; Volunteer Workers ‘Squad, Self-Managed Lodging Facilities ‘Club... A good point is that after a period of launching and operating quite effectively, up to now, the model of " Self-managing groups of workers and people on security-order in rubber gardens" in Phu Giao district’s An Binh commune has been announced to be replicated nationwide by the Department V05 of the Ministry of Public Security. Previously, the model of Volunteer Workers ‘Squad was also chosen to replicate throughout the country. Over the past time, these models were the "extended arms" of the police force in maintaining security and order, ensuring a safe living environment for people.
At the present time, the crime situation is at the risk of becoming complicated, promoting the role of self-management models as well as the spirit of "self-defense, self-management, self-protection, self-reconciliation" in people is absolutely necessary to build up a solid "people's security" posture. At the launching ceremony held simultaneously last weekend, leaders of the People's Committees as well as local police forces thoroughly grasped this spirit. Accordingly, Nguyen Thanh Thuong, Chairman of North Tan Uyen district’s People's Committee requested departments, sectors, organizations and localities to coordinate in promoting propaganda and mobilizing people to actively participate in preventing crimes, preserving cultural lifestyle in the place of residence. All-level police forces of the province need to proactively grasp the situation and promptly resolve cases related to security and order under the “4-on-site” motto.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Head of Thu Dau Mot city’s Police Agency requested to promote propaganda and mobilize the people to increase vigilance in the direction of "self-defense, self-management, self-protection, and self-reconciliation”; proactively review, detect and promptly resolve conflicts within the people, preventing sudden and unexpected security and order incidents from occurring; control, reducing 5% of cases of social order compared to the adjacent area.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Bo Van Cuc, Head of Phu Giao district’s Police Agency emphasized that in order to achieve high efficiency in the campaign, the local police force needs to promote propaganda and mobilize people to raise the spirit of vigilance and be proactive in preventing and participating in denouncing crimes.
Preventing crimes right from grassroots
Over the past time, provincial Steering Committees 138 at all levels paid more attention to consolidating and replicating models in the direction of "self-defense, self-management, and self-reconciliation" at the grassroots level. To date, the entire province has built more than 1,000 volunteer workers’ teams with more than 19,000 members. The security camera socialization model has mobilized people to install 4,736 cameras. Images from this "magic eye" system have actively served the work of detecting, investigating and clarifying cases, resolving violations on security and order...
Images from cameras equipped at key routes are transmitted to local police headquarters, greatly supporting the work of maintaining security and order
