Year of “youth works” reaps substantial achievements

2010 is the year that provincial Youth Unions and its affiliates have implemented a program entitled “Year of Youths Works”.

 

As a result, provincial Youth Unions and its affiliates worked out 502 youth works in all fields from provincial to grassroots level, many of them received high appreciation from the community. These youth works got involved in building grassroots infrastructure, creating technical initiates, improving the effectiveness of production and business, keeping social order-security, making environmental protection, reforming administrative procedures…

 

 

 

Many youth works with high economic value in association with the local targets in socio-economic development were implemented effectively, including those of building Doan Thi Lien Park, provincial Youth Job Center, making rural roads, setting up funds for young talent support…

 

This year, provincial Youth Union also worked out 49 programs named “Lightening up the dreams of Binh Duong’s youths”, absorbing the participation of more than 28,000 youths; helped 2,361 youths get loans to develop homebased business; offered jobs for 5,686 youths with a total expense of VND19.8bln; setting up 22 non-State affiliates with 495 members, 42 youth sub-societies with 2,468 members…There were also 857 outstanding youths admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam…

 

Provincial Youth Union and its affiliates’ activities in terms of education, culture and sport also upheld their effectiveness in the task of gathering youths. In general, activities done by provincial Youth Unions at all levels this year were associated with youths’ demand and interest, contributing to improving their spiritual and material lives.

 

Nguyen Khoa Hai, deputy head of provincial Youth Union said: “The above-mentioned activities have helped uphold the volunteer spirit of the local youths while contributing to well realizing the local targets in socio-economic development”.

 

The above-mentioned achievements also indicated that provincial Youth Union and its affiliates have gained more evolution in awareness and action. They have caught up with youths’ demands for spiritual and material lives by many substantial programs. And thus, they also need to be more flexible and creative to successful execute the common targets…
