Since early this year, provincial War Veterans Societies at all levels have organized many emulation movements in association with the campaigns launched the local authorities. Many practical works have been realized to welcome war veterans congresses at all levels, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic and cultural development.

The War Veterans Association of Binh Hoa ward in Thuan An town are now responsible for controlling over some roads in Binh Duc quarter. Weekly, war veterans join hands with the quarter’s executive board to keep order and environmental hygiene on the roads. Some first-aid spots are also organized along the roads, monthly providing timely first-aid for tens of patients and victims of traffic accidents

Possibly speaking, the roads controlled by war veterans across the province have become clean, nice and safe roads. They are seen as practical works made by the local war veterans to welcome war veterans congresses at all levels, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development.

Many other significant activities have also been implemented to welcome war veterans congresses at all levels. Particularly, the War Invalids Association of Hiep An ward in TDM city grew 150 green trees; Phu Giao district’s War Invalids Association grew and tend gardens in three communes of Tan Long, An Long and Tam Lap; Dau Tieng district’s War Invalids Association participated in cleaning up the district’s Martyrs’ Cemetery; the War Invalids Association of Tan Hiep commune in Phu Giao district joined hands with mass organizations and locals to make environmental hygiene; upgrade a bridge across Nuoc Trong stream…Many exemplary role-models in production-business and social charity activities have also been discovered from emulation movements launched by the local War Veterans Association.

In a bid to set achievements to welcome provincial War Veterans Association’s Congress towards the national War Veterans Association Congress, provincial War Veterans Associations at all levels have initially strived to well fulfill their plans. They have also organized cultural-sports contests; especially made practical works, contributing to the local socio-economic development.
