Avoid formalism in performing movements

That was the instruction of Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, at Steering Committee’s meeting about the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in 2024, on the afternoon of April 8.

At the meeting, representatives of Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - the standing agency of Steering Committee - reported review results of cultural titles in 2023; report results of collecting opinions on the draft plan to implement the movement in 2024 and the draft decision to promulgate regulations on standards, order, and procedures for consideration and awarding the title "Cultural Family", "Cultural neighborhoods, hamlets", "Typical communes, wards, towns", "Cultural boarding houses" in the province.

According to representatives of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the review results of cultural titles in 2023 show that the campaign committees of neighborhoods and hamlets correctly implemented the processes and regulations for registering and recognizing cultural titles. The review and recognition were carried out based on democracy and publicity principles, with the people's interest and response. Compared to the previous year, the rate of achieving cultural titles in 2023 increased. At the meeting, members of the Steering Committee also commented on several related issues for the standing body of the Steering Committee to study more and develop plans and regulations appropriate to the actual situation.

The Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee also noted some related contents, such as: pay more attention to propaganda and education, and have appropriate propaganda solutions in difficult financial conditions; It is necessary to pay attention to handling violations so that authorities at all levels have a foundation for the implementation process. Besides, setting goals must be feasible, not based on formalism; need to research and apply information technology and digital transformation; review relevant contents in issued documents and regulations to achieve uniformity in the implementation process.
