Early October 17, Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Committee presided over the 73rd session of provincial People's Committee. The meeting was attended by Mai Hung Dung, Member of provincial Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of departments, agencies, districts and cities in the province.
At the session, delegates reviewed 12 draft projects and proposals, including a draft resolution establishing criteria for selecting investors through bidding for land-use projects, a specific resolution listing plots of land for investment project bidding, a proposal for completing the My Phuoc Tan Van expressway project through a PPP (public-private partnership) model and a draft resolution on support mechanisms for implementing social housing investment projects.
Regarding the draft resolution on support mechanisms for social housing projects, it includes: providing a 50% subsidy for the construction of technical infrastructure within the social housing project areas. This support covers traffic, telecommunications, energy supply, public lighting, water supply, waste collection-treatment and other related infrastructure systems, excluding internal infrastructure systems. Speaking at the session, Mr. Minh basically agreed with the drafts and proposals presented while emphasizing that departments and agencies should further acquire contributive ideas from the meeting to refine the drafts and proposals for approval in the coming time. He also agreed with the proposals concerning commercial housing ratios for ground floors in apartment buildings, setting a maximum limit of 20% for such projects.
