After 45 years of establishment, Binh Duong Water - Environment Corporation (Biwase) has achieved impressive results. With far-reaching aspirations and strong bravery, Biwase has continuously developed and become a leading enterprise in the water supply sector.
Far-reaching aspirations

Tan Hiep 2 water plant uses investment capital from the World Bank, with high quality standards ensured
Since 1994, Biwase has completely abandoned an underground water system with dispersion, switching to a centralized surface water plant with the initial capacity of 7,500 cubic meter per day and night. In 1997, Biwase completed the Thu Dau Mot water plant with capacity of 15,000 cubic meters per day and night, bringing the more than 12km D400 pipeline to supplying water to VSIP I in Thuan An city. This was an important step, changing thinking of water supply services for the local daily life and industrial manufacture.
In addition, with the first ODA capital worth US$350,000 from the Japanese Government's OECF organization, Biwase purchased 10km of Kubota cast iron pipes and was determined to replace its old pipelines. With the determination, Biwase has to date achieved a proud achievement in reducing water loss, making an important contribution to its accumulation of investment capital. Biwase's success has created trust in provincial leaders, ministries and capital donors. Many ODA projects are continuously approved, contributing to helping the province build up a more stable and stronger water supply and drainage infrastructure system.
Particularly, Biwase has taken advantage of preferential capital to implement projects at Di An water branch funded by ADB, in Binh Duong new city funded by the Netherlands and the World Bank... From 2016 to 2020, Biwase continuously started construction and inaugurated plants on water supply and drainage, wastewater treatment and solid waste treatment. Biwase also expanded investment in water supply projects outside the province, providing clean water for people living in Chon Thanh district, producing water for Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial Park, Minh Hung Industrial Parks 1, 2, 3, 9 in Binh Phuoc province, or expanded investment in Dong Nai, Long An, Can Tho...
Effective production and business
To date, Biwase has increased its water supply capacity 100 times compared to 30 years ago, from 7,500 cubic meter per day and night to 760,000 cubic per day and night. There are currently 4 wastewater plants with capacity of nearly 90,000 cubic meters per day and night with a completely separate collection system. Every day, Biwase waste treatment branch receives and processes about 2,500 tons of household waste. They are completely processed, recycled for compost fertilizer, bricks...or burned electricity. Currently, 100% of landfills are closed temporarily. Biwase continues perfecting all its waste treatment and recycling technologies to join the province in achieving the goal of sustainable development in association with environmental protection.
Biwase strongly applies technology to manage and operate production and business activities
In 2022, Biwase successfully reduced the water loss rate from a very high number (60%) in the early years, to 5% today. Upon this, Biwase’s annual revenue also grew steadily. Its water revenue increased to more than VND2.27 trillion. And thanks to its diversity in terms of business scopes, Biwase reached a total revenue of more than VND3.9trillion. With a unified management apparatus, Biwase has operated effectively, creating trust for investors. And its stock value has increased steadily with capitalization getting greater and greater. Up to now, the market capitalization (BWE) of the unit has amounted more than VND 9.43 trillion, higher than when it was first equitized in 2016, which was more than VND 7.43 trillion.
