On June 26, at the Provincial Political School, Binh Duong Power Company (PCBD) coordinated with the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade to hold a conference to propagate compliance with the Law on Economical and Efficient Energy Use for users of key energy source during the period of high load in the province. Attending the conference were 112 key power users in the province.
At the conference, Nguyen Thanh Toan, Director of Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, said the results of annual inspection showed that key energy users in the province had complied and implemented well the regulations on economical and efficient use of energy. However, there are some establishments that have not fully complied with the regulations according to instructions and were reminded many times by the Department of Industry and Trade, sanctions were imposed for errors, such as: an energy manager was not appointed according to regulations, an annual energy use report was not made, an energy audit was not performed, and an energy management model was not built. Facilities that emit greenhouse gases must conduct greenhouse gas inventories from 2024.
Through the conference, businesses listened to electricity industry experts provide information on relevant regulations and laws, and at the same time received guidance on legal regulations related to economical and efficient use of energy, environmental protection, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions...
According to Le Hong Khanh, Deputy Director of PCBD, demand response (DR) regulation is one of the electricity demand management programs, aiming to encourage customers to proactively adjust and reduce their demand for electricity supplied from national power system, contributing to reducing peak capacity during peak hours of the power system, reducing the situation of overloaded power grids. The conference helped businesses better understand the meaning of complying with DR commitments, contributing to ensuring a safe and consistent electricity supply, proactively preventing incidents affecting production and business activities of enterprises.
